On January 27, 2023, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office arrested Brianna Thode, age 32, of Jasper, MN. The NTSB will be holding a press conference Sunday. On December 16, 2022, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office cited Harold Hasche, age 85, of Rock Rapids, IA for driving while suspended, violation of financial liability coverageand fail to obey a traffic control device. The van sustained sever damage and was towed away. Upon arrival it was found that a 2013 Chevy Express cargo van driven by Thomas Reimers of Humboldt was traveling East bound when it made contact with the rear of a Case IH MX 110 tractor operated by Tyler Kelderman of Doon. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Lyon County Ambulance, Lester Fire and Rescue and the Iowa State Patrol. In a Saturday morning tweet, the NTSB said it is sending a seven-member go-team today to Stagecoach. Nicole M. Philiph (28) of Ocheyedan was operating a 2014 Chevy Equinox west bound and struck the rear of a 2022 Mack plow being operated by Bobby Gruis (48) of George IA, which was also west bound and was making a left turn onto ForsterCourt. State and County plows are beginning to hit the roads; however, many, if not all roads in the county are still drifted shut.
